Born in Texas, Amy Bailey was a professional ballerina in the U.K. and abroad for many years, working with the Houston Ballet, Joffrey Ballet in New York City and London Ballet Theatre in England. She transitioned to acrobatics and aerial silks in 2004, training with coaches from Cirque du Soleil, and subsequently touring to over 50 countries.
Amy began her acting career in musical theatre in 2007 when she was cast as the understudy for Ulla in Mel Brooks’ The Producers. Rave reviews for leading roles followed, ranging from Sarah Brown in Guys & Dolls, to Linda Christie in Woody Allen's Play It Again, Sam. Film and TV credits include Kwenthrith in Vikings and Clementine in Dominion.
Amy is actively involved in the comedy improvisation scene, having trained at the famed Groundlings Theater in LA and regularly featuring at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She and her writing partner, Katherine Ryan, are currently writing a commissioned sitcom for BBC3.
Amy will join us on both Saturday and Sunday.
